Sobre Robert Gant no hay demasiados datos disponibles, ni tan sólo la fecha exacta de su nacimiento, a parte de los que tenemos disponibles en Librería nacional de Nueva Zelanda, que son los que paso a compartir en esta entrada.
 
Gant, Robert, 1854?-1936.
Riverton, Cecil (seudónimo), 1854?-1936 Miembro de la Patchwork Company conjuntamente con la familia Hill. Llegó a Nueva Zelanda desde Gran Bretaña en 1876, se convertirá en aprendiz de un químico de Wellington. Se incorporó al teatro local especializándose en papeles femeninos y utilizando el seudónimo de Cecil Riverton. Cantó el papel de Ruth en la primera producción de "Piratas de Penzance" (Ópera de Arthur Sullivan, Gilbert y Sullivan y W. S. Gilbert) en Nueva Zelanda en junio de 1879. En la década de 1880 se mudó a Wairarapa, donde era químico y continuó su participación en el teatro local, actuando y dirigiendo. Se retiró a Worser Bay Wellington aproximadamente en noviembre de 1899

Max Dupain es el fotógrafo en blanco y negro, pionero del modernismo, más respetado e influyente de la Australia del siglo XX. Sus imágenes capturan una era pasada, en la que la sociedad australiana era muy diferente de lo que es ahora. Dupain con su ojo documental, sus imágenes exudan calidad y demuestran el dominio de la luz y la forma con unos enfoques nítidos, ángulos variables y composiciones de gran creatividad.
